Pumpkin Patch Fun

Yesterday the seven of us loaded up and headed out to visit a pumpkin patch just above Troy. Well first of all it is NOT just above troy, it is practically in union springs and second we started trying to get there that morning around 10:30 and finally got there by 2:00. It amazes me how long it takes to get somewhere with small children but that is ok we had a good time on the way too. They had lots of different things other than a pumpkin patch. They also had hayrides, corn maze, cow train, farm animals, tire swings, gardens, blow up slides, gift shop, food and drinks and lots more neat little things to do. I would like to go back next year. We will have to start getting ready around 5:30a.m. though if we want to get there by the time it opens!

I forgot my camera so all I had was my phone for pictures...:(

This and That

A lot has happened since I last updated. Lots of pictures to follow. Let's see...I will start with my birthday. I turned 26 in August and my family took me out to eat at Coach-N-Four in Crestview!! Boy oh boy was it yummy to my tummy!! Heath was at work for my birthday so he didn't get to go eat with us but while he was home he did take me to a neat little place called Live Oak Landing. It was nice to get away for a few days and just spend some time with my sweet hubby.

This is the little cottage that Heath and I stayed in at Live Oak Landing. This is the best picture that I could get from their website since I didn't take any.

It is ALABAMA FOOTBALL time people! ROLL TIDE!!

We took at mini vacation to Navarre beach in September. The highlight of this trip would definitely be hunting for crabs at night. John and I were the master hunters!! I was sick and on an antibiotic so I did not have a lot of energy but we made the best of it. We went to the gulfarium in Fort Walton Beach. In my opinion, save your money! We also rented bikes in Navarre, that was fun but every body had a sore butt the next day!

(If you are wondering yes I am getting every penny out of that kelley's kids outfit that Lane is wearing.)

Lane has started sitting up for a minute or two at the time and then he face plants it. It want be very much longer and he will be crawling. I was able to get a few pictures of him while he was sitting up like a big boy!

Tonight when I went to check on Lane I found this precious angel loving on his blanket fast asleep. How sweet is that!!!!

Independence Day

Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

John Adams had written to his wife Abigail:
The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.[6]

We had a very enjoyable Fourth of July this afternoon. The weather turned out really nice and being outside wasn't miserable. We decided that we wanted to go the easy route this year so we had sandwiches, chips and cupcakes. We popped some awesome firecrackers and enjoyed making the cows run.

Happy 4th of July Ya'll!!
